Our SAANZ-hosted Social Sciences Conference website is now live!
The 2026 Social Sciences Conference is a major collaborative event hosted by Waipapa Taumata Rau | University of Auckland.
He kai kei aku ringa: there is food in my hands is a Māori whakataukī that speaks to resilience and hope. This inaugural Conference for the Social Sciences, offers us a way of thinking about knowledge as sustenance. Our whakataukī asks us to think about what we carry with us, what we share and what nourishes us collectively. As we open this space to the social sciences, we say nau mai haere mai, everyone is welcome to eat here.
- Registration is now open, with early-bird pricing expiring on 2 October 2026.
- Submissions are also open and due by midnight, 31 August 2026. We welcome abstracts for a presentation, poster, or even artwork!
