SAANZ student members who are presenting at SAANZ 2025 – A Sociology of Beauty and Joy, 3-5 December, Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington – can apply for funding support. The amounts made available will depend on the number of students who apply and where they are travelling from.
Applications close on October 10 with decisions released on October 19 and funds paid into your nominated bank shortly after.
Please be aware of the following:
- If you receive funds but do not present at the conference, you are required to pay it all back
- All recipients of funding are asked to email the SAANZ executive a brief report on their experience of presenting at the conference
- The amount you receive will not cover all of your costs. You are encouraged to also apply for anything available through your university. The SAANZ conference fund is intended to offer some support only
- All applicants must be SAANZ student members
